In IT there are two things you can rely upon at the turn of a New Year.

  1. We’ll put together our predictions
  2. At the top of the list of predictions we’ll tell you it’ll be the year of security

So here we are, and at the top of the list this year: Security.

However, this year we really mean it.

In a little under 12 months our working arrangements have drastically
changed – where our IT infrastructure could generally be identified by a handful of locations. Now, nearly every one of our colleagues are a location themselves – each of which needs protecting.

With little evidence that “normal” will return anytime soon, IT and data security will have to continue to adapt to this landscape as new threats emerge looking to take advantage of the situation.
